U-18 Redwings last Rosetown team in SHA playoffs

In the first-round of under-18 C playoffs, the Rosetown U-18 Redwings tied the Tisdale Ramblers 4-4 in Tisdale last Friday. The teams were to play here on Saturday, after press time for this issue.

The Redwings were down 4-2 at the start of the third period and came back to tie it, said head coach Fraser Cruse.

The U-15 Redwings lost their first-round, provincial U-15 C series to the Wynyard Monarchs. The Monarchs won 5-0 in the second game and then edged the Redwings 3-2 in the mini game immediately after.

The Elrose Aces are playing the Lafleche-Wood River Flyers in the second round of under-15 provincial D playoffs. The first game was to be in Lafleche last Friday. The Aces had advanced by defeating the Avonlea Thunder, 5-2 in Elrose on Feb. 5 and 8-0 in Avonlea on the 1st.

Still in U-15 D playoffs the Kerrobert-Dodsland Stars lost their first-round series to the Wadena Wildcats: 8-2 in Kerrobert on Feb. 1 and 6-2 in Wadena on the 6th.

The U-13 Elrose Aces had advanced to the second round of provincial U-13 D playoffs, playing the Glaslyn North Stars. The teams had tied 3-3 in Edam on Feb. 9 and were to play in Elrose last Friday. The Aces got there by defeating the Dalmeny Sabres, 15-2 in Elrose on Jan. 31 and 11-5 in Dalmeny on the 21st.
