Did well among 400 gymnasts

Seventeen Rosetown Gymnastics Club members “had a good showing against some tough competition” at the Marian Classic in Saskatoon on Feb. 6-7, said club coach Fern Dyer.
Close to 400 gymnasts from across Saskatchewan and clubs in Manitoba took part at Hall E of Prairieland Park, said Dyer.
In the Xcel gold 13-19 age category, Arabella Gilroy placed first in the beam, second on bars, fourth on vault and sixth on floor and second all around among 14 athletes. Maddison Van Hove finished seventh on bars and Myla Van Hove placed eighth in vault.
Another 14 gymnasts competed in the 11-year-old Xcel gold class. Paysley Ogilvie finished fifth on bars and beam and seventh all around. Audyn Gilroy placed seventh on beam and eighth in vault.
Sixteen athletes took part in the age 11-13 Xcel silver category. Avery Hey finished first in beam, third on floor, fourth on bars, seventh on vault and second all around. Hey is the correct spelling of her last name. The Eagle apologizes for misspelling it in a Feb. 3 photo caption.
Karlee Anholt finished fifth on bars. Ivy Turk placed eighth on floor.
Kamryn Ismond finished second in vault and sixth on floor among 14 gymnasts in the 10-year-old Xcel silver category.
Sage Aylward placed fifth on floor and Hailey Emmons, fourth on floor and seventh on beam among 16 athletes in the eight-year-old Xcel bronze category.
Kenley Craig finished eighth in vault and floor, sixth in bars and all around and Lilah Carlson placed fifth in vault and floor among 15 gymnasts in the nine-year-old Xcel bronze category.
Another 15 athletes competed in the 9-12 Xcel bronze category. Alexus Cledgett placed fifth on bars, eighth on floor and beam and seventh all around and Aubrey Lovenuk finished fifth on vault and floor, sixth on beam and eighth all around.
Taylor Van Hove won the all-around silver in the Xcel bronze inter-club category.
