By David McIver
ROSETOWN – A female flag football jamboree is to be held here today (Tuesday), starting at 4:30. Rosetown, Kindersley and Biggar teams are expected to attend, said Mitchell Wintonyk, athletics director for Rosetown Central High School.
The flag season here concludes on Wednesday, June 3, said Wintonyk.
Also on football, no Rosetown Royals made the north team which was to play in last Sunday's Senior Bowl game in Regina, said Wintonyk.
Similarly, no Royals will be on the Canadian team that will travel to Meeteetse, Wyo., for the Can-Am Bowl in July, he said.
Baseball
A minor ball camp involving members of the senior Angels baseball team is scheduled for here on June 4-7, said Ryan Wickett, chair of the ball committee of the Rosetown Minor Athletic Association and also the senior Angels player-manager.
A muddy field here kept the Angels from their scheduled opening game of the season last Tuesday and it wasn't known when that will be played when Wickett spoke on Wednesday.
