Redwing coach Trent Aylward said the league includes teams from Warman, North Battleford, Delisle and Martensville, in addition to the Western Prairie squad.

Meanwhile, the under-18 Redwings advanced to the second round of the senior C provincial playoffs before their season ended with a 5-0 loss to the Unity Lazers in Rosetown on Feb. 28.

The Western Prairie Redwings under-11 team was scheduled to compete in the U11 A provincial championship tournament in Estevan this past weekend.

All 16 teams in the league were expected to participate in the provincials in either the A or B flights. The Redwings qualified for the A Flight after finishing first in the 10-team West Division with a 20-win, one-tie regular-season record.
