Midwest Mintos cap carded season with two silver medals

This tournament team consisted of players from towns within a 120-km radius around Milden, including Conquest, Elrose, Dinsmore, Harris, Kindersley and Rosetown. We attended four tournaments throughout the winter in Shaunavon, Assiniboia, Regina and Clavet.

This team showed remarkable growth this carded season, facing stiff competition and excellent hockey, showcasing some of the best players of this age group throughout Saskatchewan. Although we struggled in both the Shaunavon and Assiniboia weekends, in Regina we lost to Yellowknife in the gold-medal game of the 24-team tournament. In Clavet, we had another great showing but lost to East Central Attack in the gold-medal game, earning two silver medals this season.

A big thanks to our managers, Jamie Cowell and Lisa Prestley, who booked hotels, organized team-bonding activities and countless team suppers throughout the season.
