Mayor Hay wears Shaunavon Badgers jersey

Mayor Trevor Hay’s smile while wearing a Shaunavon Badgers jersey later turned to a frown during the April 6 town council meeting. Hay’s donning of the jersey resulted from a bet with Shaunavon Mayor Cal Vance. Hay agreed to wear the jersey during a council meeting and for a day at this week’s annual convention of the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association if the Badgers won the provincial senior C hockey championship series between the two teams. The Badgers swept series in two straight games.
