Letter to the Editor: Rosetown Curling Club Executive

To Our Valued Sponsors, Supporters, and Community Members:

The Rosetown Curling Club Executive would like to sincerely thank the Rosetown Town Council, and our valued advertising sponsors for their continued support of our local curling rink. We are very grateful for the town’s contribution toward the recent ice plant repair, which was a necessary expense that cost the club over $80,000.

Each year, the curling club spends over $70,000 to operate and maintain the curling rink. This includes the maintenance and insurance of all club-owned equipment, including the ice plant, as well as all utilities and staffing. Currently, the club has approximately $50,000 in its chequing account, along with about $150,000 in long-term investments that are reserved to support future capital needs and the long-term sustainability of the facility.

Like many community organizations, we face rising costs and aging infrastructure, and community support plays a critical role in ensuring that curling remains available in Rosetown. We are proud of our dedicated volunteers, members, and sponsors that give their time and resources to keep the curling rink operating.

Thank you for standing with us — we truly could not do this without your support!

Sincerely,
Rosetown Curling Club Executive
