Louise LaFortune displays her grandparents’ wedding certificate that hangs on her basement wall. Her grandfather, Charles Harder of Hebron, Neb., married Lizzie Schmidt of Jefferson Country, Neb., in 1911 at Sonningdale, where they lived and raised a family.
