Golf club president sinks hole in one

Ryan Wickett may have made a golfing first, at least for Rosetown.
Wickett made a hole in one at the local course on Wednesday afternoon, June 6. That was at Hole No. 6, which has a 172-yard distance.

“It was a pretty good shot,” said Wickett, who used a seven-iron club.
He and his oldest son, Cohen, “could see it bounce up towards the hole and the way the green is facing, we couldn’t really see it go in.”
They drove up to the green. Cohen ran onto the green and found it in the hole, said Wickett.
Having played for many years, he’s come close to a hole in one a few times, but not in recent years, he said.
Wickett “was lucky enough to find the hole on this one.”
Wickett shot an even par for the round, which is 42 for the 11 holes.
Was this the first time a Rosetown golf club president has shot a hole in one on the course?
“I wonder. I’m not sure on that,” Wickett said, with a laugh.
