Flaring at compressor station

EAGLE STAFF

From Sunday until Wednesday, residents and drivers may have or still may see a 40-ft. flame being intermittently emitted from a flare stack temporarily attached to SaskEnergy infrastructure at the Rosetown compressor station about six kilometres northeast of town.

The flaring is necessary to do maintenance work on the natural gas line system and was to occur from 9 to 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 19 to 22, subject to change based on operating requirements, said a SaskEnergy news release last Friday. SaskEnergy has notified the RM of St. Andrews and the Rosetown Fire Department about this occurrence.
