An Elrose man has won more than $100,000 playing Lotto Max.
Kevin Palmer won close to $105,000 in the March 20 draw, according to a recent Saskatchewan Lotteries statement.
“I was doing my regular check of the winning numbers and was shocked to see mine,” Palmer said in the statement. His wife initially didn’t believe him, so “I had to hand her the ticket and read the numbers off the website to convince her,” he said.
Palmer said he plans to re-shingle his roof and take two friends on a salmon and halibut fishing trip this summer.
“I’ve never gone fishing in the ocean before,” he said.
Palmer bought the winning ticket at Elrose Pharmacy. He matched six of seven numbers — 2, 14, 25, 31, 36, 41 and 47 — plus the bonus number, 13, and split the prize with a winner in Ontario.
