130 brave cold, snow for Harvest Hustle races

Snow, wind and cold didn’t stop more than 130 people from showing up for and running in the Harvest Hustle on Sunday morning, Oct. 12.
Tyler Moore ran the 10-kilometre route in 48 minutes, 29.5 seconds to place among five runners in that race. Troy Rhoades finished about three minutes later for second place. Hannah Doetzel placed third.
Brice James finished first in the five-kilometre race, doing the course in 23.18.0, just ahead of Jacob Heppner at 23:18.3. Shelbie Danychuk placed third in the field of 82 runners.
Asher Carlson ran the two-kilometre route in 8:33.1 to finish first in that race, which 47 people walked or ran. Beckham Wickett was right behind at 8:34.9. Emily Groves placed third.
The routes remained unchanged from last year and the last participants had crossed the finish line at the youth centre by a few minutes after 10 a.m., which is about a half hour earlier than in 2024
